Italian brand Meliconi opens a new branch in Spain

The leading Bologna-based company in the production of TV and appliance accessories Meliconi opens a new branch in Spain, which will be operational starting January 1, 2025.

The decision to open a headquarters in Barcelona, located in the renowned Torre Mapfre, is part of an international expansion plan aimed at consolidating Meliconi’s presence in a crucial market like Spain. The company is already well-known in Spain, both due to its market presence through an external distributor and the advertising investments made in the 1990s when the famous “TV shell” (known as “telescudo” in Spain) was launched. The creation of a direct branch in Iberian territory stems from the desire to be even closer to the market, to listen to and respond more quickly and efficiently to local demands.

Meliconi opens a new branch in Spain: market opportunity?

A careful analysis of the Spanish market has highlighted that Meliconi products can meet consumer needs that are not yet fully satisfied. The focus of the Spanish project will therefore be on the following product categories:

  • Overlay kits and universal riser bases: a rapidly growing category that meets a clear consumer need, for which Meliconi offers a wide range of products, entirely made in Italy, which is achieving great success in all markets where it is present.
  • TV supports: A range born from over 20 years of experience, 100% made in Italy, which has been completely renewed thanks to the recent launch, the first on the market, of products suitable for even drywall.
  • Audio-video accessories: the historical lines, the result of a long tradition as a specialist in audio-video accessories, which include a complete range of universal remote controls, easy to use and suitable for every need, the latest TV-specific headphones, antennas and audio cables.

An operational headquarters to strengthen local presence The Meliconi branch in Barcelona will guarantee direct and dynamic management of commercial operations through the support of a local logistics operator and will benefit from the active support of the Italian branch, which will provide its technical, commercial, and organizational know-how to replicate in Spain the successes achieved in Italy and France, where Meliconi has had its own branch for several years.
